The Spring Hero campaign for Adidas and JD Sports brought together music artists Willow Smith and Brent Faiyaz in a fast-paced commercial built around energy, style, and movement. Working from footage captured across multiple locations and cameras, Rowdy led post-production to shape the campaign into a cohesive visual story that matched the rhythm and attitude of both the artists and the brands.

The Challenge

The campaign required turning a large volume of footage captured across multiple cameras, sets, and environments into a single piece that felt seamless and intentional. With high-profile artists and multiple brand deliverables involved, the edit needed to move quickly while maintaining visual consistency, tight pacing, and a clear visual identity across every shot.

Balancing different lighting environments, camera formats, and creative directions while keeping the energy of the campaign intact made post-production a central part of the storytelling process.

Production Approach

Mike led post-production for the campaign, stitching together footage from multiple shoots and locations into a single high-energy commercial edit. The approach centered on rhythm and visual momentum, using VFX transitions, precise color matching, and tight editorial pacing to connect scenes that were originally filmed in completely different environments.

By building the edit around the energy of the music and performances, the post process helped transform raw footage into a cohesive campaign film that carried the visual identity of both Adidas and JD Sports.

Outcome

The final campaign launched across digital and social platforms, quickly gaining traction online and reaching millions of views on Social Channels and lived on screens within JD Sports Flagship stores. The spot demonstrated how strong editorial and post-production can drive the pace, energy, and cohesion of a modern commercial campaign.
